LOD 200

This is the level at which the element is graphically defined, specifying approximate quantities, size, shape, and/or location relative to the overall project. It may include non-graphical information.

The object element is determined by its position and already has an incomplete geometric definition. It has approximate data for dimensions, shape, location, and orientation. Its use is linked to generic elements or those whose detailed definitions come from external agents to the project.

It is the lowest LOD indicating the possibility of including non-graphical information for an element, such as the actual cost (not estimated from LOD 100), as well as envelope characteristics, weights, manufacturers, and maintenance manuals.

Uses:

• Analysis: The element can be analyzed for its operation based on general project criteria.

Cost: Advanced cost estimation linked to geometric and quantity data specific to this level. This cost derives from the element itself and not from other elements.

Programming: The element can be used to display time schedules and priority criteria.

• Coordination: The element can be used to coordinate with other project elements based on dimensions, location, paths, and distances from others.
